'Mirrors from the Soul' - My Journey - Respect & Equality

I love to take you with me on my own journy, because my journey made me who I am today: a inspirational visual storyteller, a healer, a coach ...I dare to dream and take my steps to make my dream come true. Showing up. standing tall, letting myself be seen and heard, wasn't something I was familiar with when I was young. On the contrary! I was very shy and just wanted to be invisible. I have come a long way, knowing that it is my purpose to let myself be seen and heard ...so here I am.

On an early morning walk with our lovely dog Rosie, I was pondering about equality and about respect. That we as human beings are equal. We’re are all connected, we’re all here for a reason, and we’re all equal. Words started humming inside of me and I couldn't wait to start writing. I came up with 'Respect & Equality' and I love to share it with you.

Respect & Equality

We are connected
Connected with one another
Whether we want to or not
For me, this is a given
And I wish for you too

We all have our own colours Beautiful ones Just the way we should have We let outselves be seen And we have a choice in our way of showing up We truly can live peacefully I can feel it deep down Take a look at these two roses How they stand tall Let themselves be seen In their true colours One already opening up The other still waiting Waiting until it’s her time Her time to let herself be seen And they are both beautiful Equal to each other They show so much grace They just are who they are They don’t need more space Or envy the other for her space They just are Blooming Showing their beauty Their beauty for the world to see I learn so much from nature Each and every day Equality and respect That are the words for me to take with me Can they be your words too? We have to start to respect ourselves Who we are With our true colours Each and everyone unique All having our own talents Our own gifts Life asks us to dive deep Deep within ourselves To truly see To explore And discover from there To learn about ourselves Always with respect Respect for who we are Not more or less than someone else Just equal to each other

For me that was a learning curve As a kid and young adult I was shy Very shy I didn’t want to be visible Visible for the world to be seen Feeling I wasn’t good enough And… Here I am Showing myself Letting my voice be heard Letting myself be seen Sometimes still doubting myself Doubting whether I am good enough And also hearing that heart-warming voice inside That voice that gently whispers into my heart Whispers that it is okay That I am good enough I learned to listen to this voice This gentle loving voice of my soul With the soft whispers I listen And I take my steps One at a time Sometimes small ones And also some really big ones We’re all equal to each other We're all connected We have our own unique colours And We walk our own path in life I wish for us all we can respect ourselves And from there respect others We’re all equal to each other In all our true colours
